database commands. Learning by doing is
the most effective learning method available, because you put the program
through its paces and see actual system responses. Before getting into the
first activity, familiarize yourself with the notation used in the step-by-step
procedures. These are included for brevity, reducing the need to read long
descriptive passages. Just type the indicated entries and press the key sequences.
